Riverton
SALVATION ARMY Commissioner Barnard Turner, of the Salvation Army, on the occasion of his official visit to Riverton, delivered an address. Accompanying the Commissioner and Mrs Turner were Commissioner and Mrs Adams, and various staff officers attached to Territorial Headquarters. The Mayor, Dr. N. G. Trotter, welcomed the party and introduced the speaker, who showed a personal knowledge of many of the countries of the world. A hearty vote of appreciation was proposed by Brigadier Dey and carried. Bowls. The Tuatapere and Riverton Bowling Clubs met on the Riverton green. The green played exceptionally well. The day was beautifully fine.
