MONGOLIAN FRONTIER CLASH MANCHUKUO PROTESTS (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) Tokyo, April 1. The Japanese version of the frontier' clash differs substantially from the Russian one. It declares that Mongolian planes flew over Manchukuo territory and that a Japanese-Man-chukuo detachment later encountered a powerfully armed unit of Mongolians. A battle ensued with heavy casualties. The Government of Manchukuo is indignantly protesting to Outer Mongolia.
