ANGLING
THE QUADRANGULAR SHIELD GORE TEAM’S SUCCESS The Quadrangular Shield for angling was competed for on the Waimea stream under excellent conditions. Four teams competed, the Gore team being successful in winning the trophy. The results are as follows:— GORE.
A pleasant social gathering took place in the Cosy Tea Rooms in the evening, when Mr O. J. Howells presided. He congratulated the winning team and presented the shield to the captain, Mr W. McKenzie. He also presented a miniature cup to Mr J. Ferris, who secured the heaviest bag.
