A TIMELY CALL

MONOWAI IN INLET. INJURED WOMAN TAKEN ON BOARD. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, February 10. During a tourist voyage to the Sounds, the Monowai put into Tennyson’s Inlet in Pelorus Sound to hold a dance. The fancy dress parade was about to begin when a launch came alongside with a woman who was in urgent need of medical attention. She was immediately taken, up the ship’s accommodation ladder in a stretcher, placed under the care of the ship’s surgeon, Dr T. P. Walker, and was made comfortable. As soon as the vessel berthed at Wellington she was taken to hospital. Dr Walker stated the woman was spending a holiday in the Sounds and had met with a serious accident
