CENSUS OF RAILWAY PASSENGERS. (British Official Wireless.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Rugby, February 8. The London Passenger Transport Board is taking a census of the passenger traffic on underground railways next week. Afterwards, particulars of some 7,500.000 journeys will have to be classified and studied. The work of sorting and analyzing is expected to occupy a staff of 40 for seven or eight months. The object of the periodic census is to provide data for a review of the working of the whole underground system, including interchange station facilities.
