FLOODS IN VICTORIA

MOTORISTS MAROONED. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 10.40 p.m.) Melbourne, Dec. 26. The south-eastern portion of Victoria experienced wretched holiday weather. Some portions of Gippsland received nearly ten inches of rain during the past two days. All the favoured resorts were flooded, including the lakes entrance, where 500 campers were in serious danger and were compelled to wade through water to higher ground. Motorists were marooned everywhere.
