Christmas
On Christmas morn the great cathedrals toll With stately notes that call the world to prayer, And meliow-throated organs softly roll Their measured summons on the solemn air. The great stained windows proudly arching high, Are charged with mellow light of Christmas morn ..he whole world, offering its thanks to God, That unto them a loving Christ was born. All this, in memory of a babe who lay Within a stable, that first Christmas Day. —Cousin Chrissie Ross (16), 24 Lochend street, Tainui, Dunedin.
