GUARANTEED PRICES

MINISTER’S ASSURANCE. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, December 16. The Hon. W. Lee Martin, Minister of Agriculture, stated to-day that the method of putting the policy of guaranteed prices into effect would be one of the first matters tackled by Cabinet when it resumed after the New Year. He said he had had the fullest assurance that everyone connected with the Agriculture Department would be united in assisting the Government to implement its programme. The Labour Government would apply itself to raising the standard of farm life, eliminating its hazards and uncertainty and make it the most attractive life of all. He could assure farmers that they could look forward to better times.
