The Canadian Government steamer Canadian Scottish finished her southward loading yesterday and sailed at 3.30 p.m. for Dunedin. The Waikouaiti is expected to leave Lyttelton this evening for Bluff direct. She is due on Sunday and sails on Monday evening for Sydney. The Marama leaves Melbourne at 10.0 a.m. on Monday for Bluff via Milford Sound. She is due here on Friday morning at 10.0 a.m., and sails in the afternoon for Dunedin. The King Malcolm now advises that she expects to leave Dunedin at noon to-day. She should be at Bluff on Saturday morning. The Karetu sailed from Sydney at 7 p.m. on Tuesday for Bluff where she is due on Sunday. She sails on Monday from Dunedin. The vessel has transhipments ex the Taiping, Cheyebassa, Orford, Thermopylae, Morton Bay, Nieuw Holland and Kyokk Maru. The Hauraki sailed from Lyttelton at 9.30 p.m. on Wednesday for Dunedin and Bluff. She is due on Saturday and sails on Monday for Melbourne. The Nardana is reported to have cleared Philadelphia for New York to complete loading for Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is scheduled to clear New York on December 15 and to reach Auckland about January 16 The Marine Department advises that on December 16 the fixed green light on the end of the breakwater in Oamaru Harbour will be altered to flashing white every three seconds, thus: Flash, o.3sec., eclipse 2.7 sec. The new light, like the -xisting one, will have an uninterrupted arc of visibility and be exhibited in all weathers. The sailing of the Wanganella from Wellington to Sydney on December 17 has been cancelled. PERSONAL. Mr L. G. Ramsay has joined the Monowai as chief officer, relieving Mr T. W. White, who has joined the Niagara in a similar position. Captain W. Martin has taken command of the Niagara, relieving Captain T. V. Hill for holidays. Captain E. A. Eden has rejoined the Totara, relieving Captain F. Pearson for further orders. Captain R. K. Entwistle has been engaged as master of the Foxton, relieving Captain T. Dalziel. Mr A. W. Bagley is relieving Mr V. Standring as second engineer of the Wahine. Mr Bagley’s position as second engineer of the Kaimai has been taken by Mr J. W. McGill, formerly third engineer of the Wahine, whose position has been taken by Mr G. Watt.
