SUMMER SHOW
EVENING ENTERTAINMENTS. STEER-RIDING CONTESTS. Monster steer-riding contests, keen athletic and cycling competition and all the fun of the fair are promised for the Showgrounds next Tuesday and Wednesday evening when the entertainments incidental to the Southland A. and P. Association’s Summer Show will be staged. Special interest attaches to the steerriding contest to be held each evening. Attractive prize money is being offered for first, second, third and fourth placings. Messrs E. Ladbrook and A. Townley have been busy for the last month getting steers and report that they now have 60 head of excellent bullocks likely to try the hardiest rider. Tn addition cycle races, amateur and professional running, pony trots and relay races will be staged each evening.
