QUEBEC ELECTION

GOVERNMENT’S NARROW WIN. MAJORITY OF FOUR. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 7.35 p.m.) Montreal, November 25. In the Quebec elections the Taschereau Liberal Government was returned by a narrow margin in the closest contest in Quebec’s election history. The final returns show the state of the parties to be as follows:— Government 47 Opposition 43 Members of the Government party elected comprise 46 Liberals and one Independent Liberal supporter, while the Opposition group elected includes 17 Conservatives and 26 Action Liberale Nationale. All the party leaders were elected.
