GIRL CYCLIST INJURED. (Per United Press Association.) Hamilton, November 26. Severe internal injuries were received by Miss Ina Hayward, aged 20, while cycling in Victoria street, Hamilton, last night. She is in hospital in a serious condition. The front wheel of a car passed over the girl’s body. CYCLIST STRUCK BY CAR. (Per United Press Association.) Hamilton, November 25. Harold James Roy Sheeran, a grocer aged 36, of Huntly, sustained severe head injuries as a result of being knocked off his bicycle near Huntly by a motorist, Fraser Maxwell Nairn, of Hamilton. Sheeran was admitted to hospital in a serious condition. KILLED BY FALLING TREE. (Per United Press Association.) Taumarunui, November 25. A fatal accident occurred at Retaruke when J. Moran, aged 68, a surfaceman employed by the Kaitieke County Council, was watching a tree being felled. It fell in the wrong direction, striking him before he could get out of the way. Moran died before the arrival of the doctor. Deceased served in the Matabele War, the Boer War, and the Great War. CYCLIST FATALLY INJURED. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, November 26. Arthur Elwood, aged 60, a storeman of Haast street, Linwood, died in hospital to-day from injuries received when knocked from his bicycle by a motor car at the comer of Fitzgerald Avenue and Armagh street. The driver of the car was Reginald Frederick Dunne, of Pigeon Bay. Elwood was taken to hospital immediately after the accident, but died less than two hours after admission.
