High-Class Cattle. A shipment of high-class cattle from America is due to arrive in New Zealand soon and will include Polled Hereford in-calf heifers for Mr A. S. Holms’s Waimahaka Estate; Polled Shorthorn in-calf heifers for Mr John Donald, of Westmere, Wanganui; another Aberdeen Angus sire for Mr H. B. Williams, Turihau, Gisborne; and an outstanding three-year-old Jersey bull for Mr W. J. Freeth, Pukeruhe, North Taranaki.
A Jersey Record. Richmond Posy sth, the phenomenal producer in the Hawkesbury College herd, Richmond, New South Wales, has broken the Australian record for a 273-days test with 983.291 b. fat, beating her paternal grand-dam, .»■ the famous Wagga Gladys. She holds the world’s record with her senior three-year-old record of 10811 b. fat, and had produced over 75001 b. milk and 45171 b. fat in five lactations, with the last one uncompleted. She is going the full 365 days.
