Gore Queen Carnival. The positions of the groups in con’nection with the Gore Sports Queen Carnival are as follows:—No. 1 Group (Miss K. Kirk) 1, No. 2 Group (Miss I. Graham) 2, No.’4 Group (Miss K. O’Connor) 3, No. 3 Group (Miss B. Edwards) 4. o —O—o Young Man's Injuries. The condition of Mr James McKee who was admitted to the Gore Hospital on Wednesday after having been dragged by horses and a heavy roller passing over him while working on his mother’s farm at Waikaia, was unchanged yesterday. He is still seriously ill. o—O —o Gore Repertory Society. For the first production of the Gore Repertory Society, the successful farce “Oh, What a fNight,” which has been seen in other Southland centres and has proved very popular, will be produced next Tuesday evening. A talented cast of members of the society under the direction of the well-known London actor-producer, Mr Harold G. Hobday, has made splendid progress with the piece and the production is expected to be one of the best stage attractions seen in Gore for a very considerable period. The play has proved to be a popular- attraction in all the centres where it has been produced, and the successful runs experienced in London and New York before critical audiences indicate the merit of the piece. A pure farce, it is a remarkably clever exploitation of wit and humour and the audience has the great advantage of being fully acquainted with misinterpretations giving rise to all the misunderstandings which cause all the fun. Mr Hobday will be seen in the principal part, which is one of his most successful roles, and the supporting players have responded very well to his direction.
