PEPPER CRISIS
CHARGE AGAINST COMPANY DIRECTORS. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 8.15 p.m.) London, November 7. Summonses have been issued arising out of the pepper crisis in February on Barabed Bishirgian, deputy-chair-man of James and Shakespeare, now in compulsory liquidation, John Howeson, a director of many companies and a member of the executive of the Tin Producers’ Association, and Louis Hardy, a former managing director of Williams, Henry and Company in which Howeson was a large shareholder and which was closely associated with James and Shakespeare. All the summonses refer to a prospectus issued concerning James and Shakespeare.
