NEW BROOKLANDS RECORD. (British Official Wireless.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Rugby, November 6. R. O. Shuttleworth, driving an Alfa Romeo car, broke the mountain lap record at Brooklands. His time was 51.33 sec., which is equivalent to an average speed of 82.06 miles an hour. The record was recently raised by Raymond Mays in an Era car to 81.28 miles an hour.
