FREE STATE LOAN. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) London, October 31. The Free State is converting a £7,000,000 loan to 4 per cent, redeemable at par on December 1, 1970. Both the principal and the interest are exempt from taxation to non-residents. COAL-SELLING ORGANIZATION. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) London, October 31. The coal-owners have given the Government a definite undertaking on behalf of sixteen out of seventeen districts to establish an organization for the control of the sale of coal. This is one of the miners’ demands. RAILWAY EXPENDITURE. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) London, October 31. The London and Midland Railway announce that it is spending £2,232,000
on rolling stock in 1936.
