Smith; G. King v. Jones; Simmers v. Walker. Last week’s matches were played in fine weather. The men played a sealed hole match, while the ladies played a bogey match in the first division and a flag match in the second division. The best cards were:— Ladies—First division, Miss Horner 8 down; Mrs Kilby 9 down. Second division, Mrs Hodges was the winner, carrying the flag to the second last hole. Men (sealed hole match). —Murray, 33—8—25; Clark, 30—3—27; Goodall, 35—8 —27; Driscoll, 35—8 —27. MOKOIA CLUB. DRAW FOR CHAMPIONSHIPS. (From Our Correspondent.) Qualifying rounds for the “B ’ grade championship of the Mokoia Golf Club have now been completed and the following is the draw for the first round of match play:—J. A. Craven v. A. N. Mac Gibbon; G. Corbet v. J. R. Quilter; T. G. Boyd v. A. E. White; S. F. Bringans v. T. H. Mac Gibbon. The draw for the August medal round to be played to-day and Saturday is as follows:— To-day: Mrs Hutton v. Miss Jeffreys; Mrs Corbet v. Mrs Sutherland; Miss Adam v. Mrs Sinclair; Mrs Halliday v. Mrs Hargest; Mrs Gourley v. Miss Stickle; Mrs Hocking ,v. Mrs Clearwater; Miss Taylor v. Mrs Mac Gibbon; Mrs Boyd v. Mrs Hunter; A. N. MacGibbon v. J. Russell; B. Mac Gibbon v. G. Corbet. Saturday: Miss Macdonald v. Miss Winning; Miss Rodger v. Miss Speden; T. H. Mac Gibbon v. A. E. White; T. C. Boyd v. J. A. Craven; I. Buchanan v. J. R. Quilter; B. Halliday v. S. F. Bringans; I. Haggitt v. T. Orr; J. A. Sinclair v. C. H. Hargest; R. Hutton v. i C. A. Thorn; A. Gourley v. H. The following reductions in handicaps have been made:—J. Russell to 17, J. A. Craven to 24, Mrs Clearwater to 34. The former player has now improved his handicap by 13 strokes since the commencement of the season. A party of some 10 players from Queen’s Park Club will visit the Mokoia course this week-end. Some good scores were returned by the ladies in the last medal handicap the best cards reading:— Mrs Clearwater 102—36—66 Mrs Sinclair 86—18—68 Miss Taylor 94—22—72 Miss Speden 103—30—73 The ladies have now fulfilled their qualifying rounds for the championship, and the following are drawn for the quarter finals:—Miss Taylor v. Mrs Gourley; Mrs Clearwater v. Mrs Sutherland; Miss Speden v. Mrs Hocking; Mrs Corbet v. Miss Stickle.
