FLIGHT ABANDONED
MR T. CAMPBELL ELACK. RETURNING FROM CAIRO. (British Official Wireless.) Rugby. August 9. Campbell-Black is expected to take off from Cairo this evening for England after having had to abandon his recording-breaking flight.
Campbell-Black left Hatfield aerodrome at 5.30 p.m. in a Comet machine, the Boomerang, in an attempt to create a new record for a flight to Cape Town. He was accompanied by James McArthur.
