CROPS SEVERELY DAMAGED. (United Press Assn—Telegraph. Copyright.) Ottawa, August 8. The hail damage in Alberta in recent weeks is the worst for years, states Dr T. W. Grindley, head of the agricultural branch of the Bureau of Statistics. Four hundred thousand acres were damaged, and in some districts the crops were entirely destroyed by hail. The damage was lighter in Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
