England’s team for the fourth cricket Test against South Africa will be chosen from the following: R. E. S. Wyatt (Warwickshire). J. C. Clay (Glamorgan). R. W. V. Robins (Middlesex). W. R. Hammond (Gloucestershire). M. Leyland (Yorkshire). H. Verity (Yorkshire). W. Barber (Yorkshire). T. B. Mitchell (Derbyshire). W. E. Bowes (Yorkshire). M. W. Tate (Sussex). G. Duckworth (Lancashire). D. Smith (Derbyshire). J. Hardstaff (Notts).
Arrangements have been made, without precedent, to house all the members of the English team in the same hotel at Manchester, where the English selectors and the South Africans are also staying. The clamour for Wyatts relegation is. unabated.
