POISONED CHOCOLATES.

RESUMPTION OF INQUEST.

Wellington, July 19

The inquest into the circumstances of the death of Margaret May Smith, who died at Blackball on September 24 as the result of eating poisoned chocolates which had been posted to her, will be resumed at the Greymouth Courthouse on Monday, July 29. Simultaneously with the inquest a man will be charged with the murder of Miss Smith and also with two charges of the attempted murder of Miss Ethel Bragg and Miss Jean Clark, both of Blackball. There will be about 60 witnesses to be called, from as fax’ north as Auckland and as faxsouth as Otago. The hearing is expected to last foux- to five days.
