GERMAN' REFUGEE
RELEASED BY KIDNAPPERS. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) Prague, June 3. Josef Lampersberger has been returned to the Czechoslovakian authorities. A message received on April 30 stated that a German refugee named Josef Lampersberger, a former member of the Reichbanner, was kidnapped in daylight from the Czechoslovakian platform at Eisenstein frontier station by four armed German secret police, and dragged off unconscious to Germany. Lampersberger fought wildly, and a Czech Customs officer attempted to rescue him, but he was struck down when a Bavarian gendarme, wielding a rifle, assisted his compatriots. The Czech Government instructed its Minister at Berlin to protest against the kidnapping of Lampersberger (an action which it considers involves the violation of Czech territory), and to demand his release and the punishment of the kidnappers.
