ROBBERY ALLEGED. MAN ARRESTED. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, April 23. An armed hold-up is alleged to have occurred in a house in Tinakori road last night. It is said that a middleaged man at the point of a revolver bound and gagged an elderly woman, Mrs Byrne, and then waited till her son, Joseph, who is a young man, came in and treated him similarly. He is alleged to have then taken three pounds from the son’s clothing and decamped. Detectives this afternoon arrested a man on charges connected with the alleged offence.
