NEW YORK STRIKE
EXTENSION OF TRUCE. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) New York, Feb. 19. Although a compromise agreement has been reached extending the truce in the building service employees strike for six months, insurgent elements within the union declared that they would act independently and continue to call periodic walk-outs in various buildings. There is still confusion in several mid-town skyscrapers with the lift service only partially restored.
