COLAC BAY NOTES

(From Our Correspondent.) On Friday evening the Round Hill School Committee held an enjoyable dance in aid of school funds. Music was supplied by Messrs E. Shore and A. Kean, while Mr T. Te Au was M.C. The lucky spot waltz was won by Mrs T. Egerton and Mr E. Reece, sen., and tho Monte Carlo by Miss Neilson and Mr G. Finn. Amongst those present were Mesdames Cahill, Forde, Roberts, Smith, Pollard, Aberdeen, Reece, sen., Fever, Egerton, Reece, jun., Duncan, Roche, Burle; Misses Neilson (2), Reece (2), Elderton, Kini, Cleaver, Stuck, Linton (2), Mason, McPherson, Te Au (2), Hart, Ashley, Lennon, Roberts, Smith, Mackie, Pearse, Pollard (2), Egerton, Tecofsky, Crane, Newton, McKenna, Martin; Messrs Te Au (2) Aberdeen, Reece (2), Shore, Kean, Wood, Dallas, Lowe, Linton, Finn, Waitiri, Purdue (2), Thompson, Skeiggs (3) Popham, Quested, Kini (2), Robson, Wallace, Murphy, Egerton, Lennon, Jones, Watson, Crane, Belsham, Roderique, Neilson (2), Fisher, McNay, Dillion, Smith, Urquhart. Mrs Forde, Papatotara, is spending a holiday at Round Hill as the guest of Mr and Mrs Cahill,

Mrs Lance Taylor, Invercargill, who was the guest of Mrs Egerton last week, returned home on Sunday. Mrs G. Evans and family returned to Te Anau after spending a holiday at Colac.

Mr and Mrs E. Reece, jun., have returned home from a holiday spent at Kaikoura.

Mr P. Kini, Wakapatu, returned home last week from a holiday spent at Gore.

The Round Hill School’s annual sports picnic was held at Wakapatu beach on Friday. The following are the results of the various events. Tiny tots: J. McKenna 1, D. McKenna 2, W. Roderique 3.
