DESIRE FOR PEACE GERMANY’S ATTITUDE. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 10.55 p.m.) London, February 15. The Berlin correspondent of the News-Chronicle says that a semiofficial statement declares that Germany’s reply to the Anglo-French proposals shows that Germany adopts a “positive attitude” to the efforts to prevent an armaments race and banish all danger of war. It emphasizes Germany’s desire for peace and pays a warm tribute to Britain’s endeavours to achieve a settlement.
