LAUNDRYMAN FINED.

(Per United Press Association.) Wellington, February 14. As the result of a police search yesterday afternoon for pakapoo, material in Vivian street premises, Lim Beng, aged 32 years, a laundryman, was fined £25 in the Magistrate’s Court to-day for allowing his premises to be used as a common gaming house.. He was allowed a fortnight in which to pay. Donald Stuart Fraser, aged 33 years, a relief worker who admitted to being on the premises without lawful excuse, was convicted and ordered to pay costs within a fortnight. Two Chinese fruiterers charged similarly to Fraser, pleaded not guilty and their cases were adjourned until to-morrow.
