EXPANSION OF EXPORTS.

(Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Rugby, February 13. The Board of Trade figures for overseas trade in January show a substantial expansion of exports compared with the corresponding month last year and a moderate increase over the December figures. Re-exports also show a considerable improvement. Imports in January totalled £61,931,000 against £62,263,000 in December' and £64,571,000 in January last year. Exports last month were valued at £35,481,000 against £34,300,000 in December and £31,609,000 in January, 1934. Re-exports totalled £5,034,000 against £3,606,000 and £4,073,000 respectively.
