FAIRFAX NOTES
SPORTS POSTPONED. (From Our Correspondent.) Owing to the inclemency of the weather the Saturday night sports were postponed till a week later. Following on the afternoon gathering on February 6, two more evening meetings will be held, and at the dance following the Angelo Cup will be presented to the winner of the most points in the cycle events for the season. A kitchen evening was tendered to Miss Sheridan at Gropers library on the eve of her approaching marriage. After a social hour had been spent Mr Carmichael spoke of the many good qualities of the guest and asked her to accept.the many gifts.. Mr Agnew made a suitable response. The local dairy factory has disposed of the season’s output of cheese to Messrs .Wright, Stephenson and Co.,' Ltd., at s|d per lb. Mr and Mrs Brown have returned to Dunedin after spending a holiday with relatives here. . . Mr and Mrs Shuttleworth and family, Lintley, spent last week-end with. Mr and Mrs McWhirter. Miss Coombes is visiting friends in the Mabel district. Mr and Mrs Early, of Warrington, are visitors to the district, and are the guests of Mr and Mrs Marnane.
