BUSY SESSION

HOUSE OF COMMONS

SEVERAL DEBATABLE

BILLS

ELECTION QUESTION

(United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright). (Rec. 11.55 p.m.) London, January 28. Six months’ intensive political activity begins to-day with the reassembly of the House of Commons.

Apart from the Budget, there are several highly debatable Bills, including the Indian constitution, housing, unemployment, insurance for agriculturalists, meat quotas in connection with the cattle industry. These must lie considered before July when the Government is to decide whether a general election is desirable in the autumn or to defer going to the country till 1936. The .Government is anxious to secure an informal arrangement with the various sections of the opposition with a view to a fair allocation of the time available for the various debates, but if obstruction is likely, the Government has decided on a most rigorous guillotine.
