She sails again at 10.15 a.m. to-day and returns this afternoon, leaving the island at 2.30 p.m. No shipping movement was reported at Bluff yesterday. Mr V. Miller has replaced Mr H. J. Kemp as third officer in the Waipiata. Mr F.R. Putter has joined the same vessel as fourth engineer, relieving Mr T. H. Downes. Canadian National Steamship’s vessel the Canadian Scottish, which sailed from Halifax on December 29 for Auckland, has passed through the Panama Canal: she sailed from Balboa on January 13, and is due at Auckland on February 7. Her other ports of discharge will be Wellington, where she is due on February 11, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff.

The liner Rangitata sailed for London via Panama, Kingston and Plymouth from Auckland at 5 p.m. on Friday. She has 341 passengers, including 132 naval ratings and members of the Grenadier Guards Band. The Golden Cloud is scheduled to reach Auckland on January 29 from San Francisco and Pacific Coast ports. She has general cargo for Auckland, Wellington and Bound to New York, Boston and Halifax, from Wellington, whence she sailed on December 18, the Canadian Challenger has passed through the Panama Canal. The Canadian Victor, which left Lyttelton on December 15 for North American ports, has passed through the Canal. The Sultan Star, which left Auckland on December 29 for the United Kingdom, via Panama, reached’ Balboa- a week ago, according to advice received by cablegram. She is due at London about January 30. The Otranto is expected to reach Auckland on Wednesday, February 6. from Brisbane. She is to sail for Wellington at mid-night on February 7. The chief dimensions of the steamers
