WRIGHTS BUSH NOTES

CRICKET MATCH. (From Our Correspondent.) The newly formed Wrights Bush Cricket Club journeyed to Otahuti to play a friendly game with the home team. . , The game was played on Mr Sims property and proved very enjoyable, the result being a draw, each side compiling 40 runs. After the match Mrs Sim provided refreshments and a very enjoyable evening was finished with community singing and music. . On Saturday the Wrights Bush Cricket Club held a euchre party and dance, there being a large crowd present. The winners for the euchre were Mrs Toole and Master R. Carter, the consolation prizes going to Mrs Knox and Mr N. Crozier. Music for the dance was supplied by Mrs Toole (piano) and Messrs N. Young and I. McCallum (accordeon). The duties of M.C. were ably carried out by Mr G. Baird.

Personal Miss Rodger is spending a holiday at Queenstown. Mrs G. McDonald has returned after spending the weekend with Mr and Mrs Mortimer, Tuturau. Miss Joyce Mortimer is spending her holiday with Mr and Mrs McDonald. Misses Meehans, Oamaru, spent a few days with Mr and Mrs T. Meehan. Mr S. Rodger is holidaying in the North Island.
