CHILDREN’S DEATH

MOTOR CAR CRASH. FATHER CHARGED WITH INTOXICATION. (Per United Press Association.) Napier. January 21. George Leslie Houlton, the driver of the car which crashed over a bridge near Haumoana on Saturday night, resulting in the death of his two children, was charged in the Napier Police Court this morning with being intoxicated while in charge of a car, and that he did cause their death. He was remanded for a week.

The inquest was opened for identification purposes, and was also adjourned for a week.
