Miss Margaret Stevenson, aged 22, a prospective Labour candidate for Hornsey. has been married at a London registry office to the son of Sir J. C. Power, a Conservative Member of Parliament. Mr Lansbury was one of the witnesses. , Miss Stevenson is a daughter of the editor of the Daily Herald and a granddaughter of a Labour pioneer in Wales. She temporarily worked as a waitress to study conditions.
