KILLED BY A BULL. (Per United Press Association.) Waipukurau, January 19. As a result of the horse he was riding being charged bv a Polled Angus bull, which he was driving at his property at Pettitt’s Valley, Onga Onga, last evening, James Ethelbert Masters, aged 51, was fatally injured by the bull. He was a well-known settler and leaves a widow, two sons and a daughter. BODY RECOVERED. (Per United Press Association.) Auckland, January 19. The body of Robert Stewart Banner, aged 68, who fell overboard from a yacht in Hokianga Harbour on Monday evening was found yesterday near the scene of the tragedy. GIRL DROWNED. (Per United Press Association.) Whangaroa, January 19. A report from the far North states that Mary Overton, an Auckland girl, aged 12, was drowned last evening at Mitimiti on the West Coast near Hoki-
anga Harbour when she was bathing in the surf with other children. The girl, who has not been seen since, was carried out to sea so quickly that attempts at rescue were impossible.
