DAMAGE TO SAWMILL

SPARK FROM BUSH FIRE. (Per United Press Association.) Greymouth, December 27. A spark fronj a bush fire caused £5OO damage to the sawmilling property of the Stratford Blair Company, near Marsden, at 4 p.m. to-day, igniting a stack of 4000 silver pine sleepers which were destroyed, also a bush locomotive and engine-shed. No water was available. The fire rose to a great height, the drought rendering the material very inflammable.
