INCREASED WAGES

CHRISTCHURCH TRAM WORKERS. AGREEMENTS NEGOTIATED. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, December 21. Under agreements which have been negotiated between the Tramways Union and Tramway Board, employees will receive increases in wages ranging from 5 pei- cent, for the traffic staff to 71 per cent, for the permanent way men. The men in the inquiry staff will also benefit. The agreement has been

concluded, but has not yet been approved by the full board, and until the agreement is approved details are not being divulged. There is no doubt, however, that the board will ratify the agreement.
