CHARGE DISMISSED

PROSECUTION FAILS. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, December 12. The police prosecution of the driver of one of two cars involved in a collision near Pahautanui last October was challenged by the driver of another and in a reserved decision to-day Mr E. Page, S.M., upheld the counter charge and dismissed the police charge, expressing the opinion that the attempt to prove the driver prosecuted by the police had been guilty of negligent driving had failed. Charges of drunkenness brought against two passengers we- - also dismissed. The accused was Berly Catherine Walker and the passengers were her husband and her mother. The driver of the other car, Percy James Martin, was fined £3 on a charge of negligent driving. _____
