“SCOTLAND’S SUPERB.”

“Scotland’s Superb,” the property of Mr Robert Lockie, Edendale, is by “Scotland’s Select” out of “Dunure Toby” by “Baron o’ Bucklyvie.” “Scotland’s Superb” is without doubt the greatest breeding horse in New Zealand to-day. A proof of this lies in the fact that his stock are keenly sought after throughout Australasia and invariably meet with a ready sale. Several of his get, when less than a year old have been disposed of at prices ranging from sixty guineas upwards. Many of his stock have taken honours at leading Shows throughout Otago and Southland and at the recent Kelso Show the Champion Female was sired by Scotland’s Superb.

The late Mr John Lockie, of Edendale, who performed yeoman service for the Clydesdale breed in New Zealand, imported both “Myroe Footprint,” who died at the age of twenty, and the present Champion Stallion “Scotland’s Superb.”
