TAX ON FLOUR
AUSTRALIAN SUGGESTION. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) Canberra, December 6. The conference of Commonwealth and State Ministers recommended the Commonwealth Government to impose a flour tax of £2 15/- a ton for twelve months in order to provide a portion of the £4,000,000 to assist the wheatgrowers. The conference rejected a proposal to further restrict Australia’s wheat export quota.
