COLLISION IN FOG

TRAGEDY ON LAKE HURON.

(United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) New York, November 21.

A message from Alpena (Michigan) says that four members of the crew of the steamer W. C. Franz were lost early to-day in a collision in a fog between the Franz and the Edward E. Loomis on Lake Huron. The Franz sank and fourteen survivors were rescued by the Loomis which was badly damaged forward, but is proceeding under her own power.
