BALKAN POWERS

MILITARY ALLIANCE OUTCOME OF SECRET CONCLAVE FIVE PARTNERS (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 9.15 p.m.) London, November 13. A five-Power military alliance has been reached between Turkey, Yugoslavia, Rumania, Czechoslovakia and Greece against Italy and Hungary. This, says the diplomatic correspondent of the Sketch, is the secret outcome of the recent Balkan conclave held at Angora at Kemal Pasha’s special invitation. Turkey, Rumania and Yugoslavia, according to the correspondent, are pledged to defend each other’s frontiers and resist any Italian aggression, but Czechoslovakia and Greece are only "limited partners” in the alliance. Czechoslovakia is bound to join in opposing an Italian occupation of Austria or a Hungarian attack on Yugoslavia and Rumania, but owing to fear of Germany would not undertake to send troops to the Balkans or Turkey. Greece would only join in the defence of purely Balkan frontiers, but undertakes to maintain the neutrality of Salonika, enabling munitions to be consigned to Yugoslavia if the latter is at war.
