THE SESSION
END IN SIGHT. BILLS FOR DISPOSAL. (From Our Parliamentary Reporter.) Wellington, November 8. There appears to be every prospect of the House of Representatives adjourning to-morrow evening or early on Saturday at the latest. Now that the Native Affairs debate has been disposed of, all the legislation to be passed has now been introduced, and the general opinion is that the remaining measures will not occupy a great deal of time. The Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon G. W. Forbes, stated to-day that he proposed to ask the House to sit tomorrow morning when the remaining measures would be considered. Of the measures already on the order paper, the Agriculture (Emergency Powers) Bill, Reserves and Other Lands Disposal Bill, Local Legislation Bill, Noxious Weeds Amendment Bill and Cinematograph Films Amendment Bill will be taken. In addition the Native Purposes Bill and Thames Borough Commissioner Amendment Bill, which were introduced and read a first time before the House rose this evening, will be taken. The former Bill is one of the annual washing-up measures and the latter extends the control of the Commissioner over the Borough of Thames for a further three years.
