STRIFE FEARED
SITUATION IN FRANCE EX-SERVICEMEN READY TO ACT AN ULTIMATUM (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 8.55 p.m.) Paris, November 8. “If the Parliamentary parties commit the crime of returning to their old intrigues the nation will not forgive them. Let Parliament beware. Its attitude to-day would decide between peace and war. If it is to be war there will be civil war first.” This ultimatum was delivered by M. Rocque, chief of the Fiery Cross League, the strongest ex-servicemens association in the country. “I am not speaking for a mere list of 200,000 names, but for men of heart and resolution ready to act at a minute’s notice,” said M. Rocque. This declaration strongly affected the Bourse where many fear that a crisis will lead to disorders as bad as that of February. Government stocks slumped heavily.
