GENERAL NOTES. The Union Company's intercolonial steamer Waitaki arrived from Melbourne early yesterday morning with mails and cargo. She finished working and sailed for Dunedin shortly after midday. The same company’s coastal steamer Wainui, which reabhed Bluff from Wellington on Sunday evening, yesterday discharged and loaded general cargo and sailed in the evening for her northern ports, via Dunedin. The coastal steamer Parera, from Wellington, berthed at 5.30 a.m. yesterday. After discharging general cargo she loaded for the north and sailed in the evening for Dunedin and her other South and North Island ports. The Maheno leaves Bluff on her next trip to Hobart and* Melbourne on November 20. The Storm will now arrive on the Bth from Wellington. She will probably sail the same day for Dunedin. En route to New Zealand in ballast the Tuscan Star has left Balboa. She is now due in New Zealand on November 20 to load. The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Mamari is to leave London on November 14 for Suva, Lyttelton, Port Chalmers, Bluff and Napier. She is due at Lyttelton about December 25. Reported to have cleared Panama the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Fordsdale is en route from Auckland to London. She was despatched from Auckland on October En route to New Zealand from New Orleans, the.Erlagen Is reported to have arrived at Cristobal. She is due at Auckland about November 22. The Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Mataroa was scheduled to clear Southampton a few days ago with passengers and mail for New Zealand and cargo for discharge at Auckland and Wellington. She is due at Auckland on December 5. The Shaw. Savill and Albion motor ship Karamea, which is to leave London for Australia to-day will load in New Zealand for Great Britain during December and January The Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Campbell was scheduled to leave New York a day or so ago for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland about December 4. The Federal Line steamer Kent is reported to have cleared Curacao in continuation of her voyage from Liverpool to Auckland. The vessel has cargo from West Coast ports of Great Britain for Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland on November 21. WAIWERA AT BLUFF. On her maiden voyage to New Zealand, the Shaw, Savill and Albion motor liner Waiwera arrived at Bluff from New Plymouth early yesterday afternoon. Naturally she attracted the attention given to a ship making her first call at a port and with her spacious decks and up-to-aate appointments created a very favourable impression. At Bluff she is loading 9000 crates of cheese. 6500 carcasses of frozen meat, 2000 boxes of butter, 2500 sacks of oats, 100 casks of pelts and tallow and a quantity of general cargo. Completion is expected on Wednesday morning, and departure will be taken about mid-day for Wellington, her later ports being Gisborne, Napier and Auckland. She is due to leave the latter port for the Homeland on November 29. Captain J. H. Gaskell commands the Waiwera, and his officers are: Chief officer, Mr E. A. Hickling; second, Mr R. G.
