CONFERFENCE CONTINUED. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, October 11. This morning’s session of the Baptist Conference was devoted to foreign mission work. The financial statement disclosed a favourable state of affairs. The following officers were elected to the Foreign Mission Council:—President, the Rev. J. Laird; secretary, the Rev. Lascelles; past president, Mr W. J. Bardsley; committee, Misses N. Wilkinson, E. M. Bainsford, E. Beckingsale, M. Berg, Mr N. Gage, the Revs. Ings, Jenkins, Rollings, Kempton, Turner, Nicholls, Mrs Anstice, Mr Barry. The preacher of the missionary sermon for 1934 is Mr H. R. Driver.
