It is a significant fact that the further north one travels in New Zealand the more carbonated waters decrease in quality and purity. The general conditions of Auckland, Wellington, and other North Island cities, particularly of Wellington, are not at all suitable for the production of pure, high-class beverages. In large congested North Island cities, the exposed Corporation water supplies, coupled with the warm atmospheric conditions, are the two responsible factors for the low quality. Cool, crystal-clear, sterile artesian water, which never comes in contact with the atmosphere, such as is used by Thomsons’, is the only safe and sure method for pure, high-class, quality productions.
