RANGITOTO TRAGEDY

DEATH OF INJURED MAN. NO TRACE OF MISSING MAORI. (Per United Press Association.) Te Kuiti, October 11. There have been no further developments in the Rangitoto tragedy. A large force of police are camped on the site of the burned homestead and they are scouring the country. Their task is difficult on account of the rough nature of the country. A formal inquest was held this morning and adjourned sine die. Edward Lancaster Davenport, the injured man in the tragedy, died in hospital this evening. There is no trace of the missing Maori up to the present.
