HIGH SEAS RUNNING

AUSTRALIAN COAST.

FLOODS REPORTED INLAND.

(United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) Sydney, September 4. Terrific seas continue along the New South Wales and Queensland coastline, delaying shipping and forcing many small vessels to shelter. Flooding is reported from a number of iriland centres and the rivers in the coastal and inland areas are running bank high. The damage in Sydney is mostly of a minor character. A later report states that the cyclone has passed and the weather is showing distinct signs of brightening. Yesterday was the coldest day in Sydney for ten years.
